  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Leave ½ cup of butter out of the refrigerator to become soft; this will make the fourth step of this banana bread recipe easier.
  • Grease the 9x5 inch loaf pan to make it easier for the finished banana bread to be turned out onto the wire rack.
  • The ½ cup of butter that has been left out in room temperature should now be creamed together with ¾ cup of brown sugar. You can use white sugar, but brown sugar will definitely add to the flavour and is therefore recommended for this banana bread recipe.

  • Place the pan in the preheated oven.
